Alright, what the hell? I've only been here for 1 day and i already got into an adventure.
I was just walking around in Barneby to discover the place a bit. First i walked to a park on the map. When i got to the other side of the park i had no idea where i was. so just walked to the end of the road until i saw a street name sign and i looked it up on the map. When i got back to the main road i saw an other road which i thought might get me closer to the water so i looked it up on the map and yes it would bring me closer. So i walk down the road but it ended before i got to the water and there was a big gate so i couldn't go further. i went back.
Back at the main road... I saw this sign which said there was a walking route though a forest and it would end at a good place for me to walk back to my house. So i guess you can figure out the rest...
Halfway this route i saw this little path. I looked like animals or something had walked there. This path seemed to be leading to the water(at the time). So me and my mind of adventure walked into that little path and it led down the mountain. I thought it would end pretty soon so i kept walking down that mountain. Now and then i saw these peaces of wood that could never would have came there by mother nature. (Like: a pellard or a plank that was laid down as a sort of jump. at that point i thought it might be used by mountain-bikers. (So another moment i thought it might be used often.) I was still walking down but the path was getting smaller and more plants were in the way but i thought there was still a path. (Maybe i should have stopped and turn back at that point) Still walking.. i even got past this place where you had to grab a rope to get down a stayl part. After that i was to far gone to go back so i went forwards. I was a little freaked out and i was under all of these spider webs and scratches. Eventually the trail ended in front of a railway and behind the railway a big fens of a industrial place and behind that the water. And because in the Netherlands it's absolutely forbidden to go across a railway and didn't want to get in any kind of trouble (and there wasn't any other path or way outta there), i decided to go back. (Not realizing i just came down a mountain.. That means i had to go up the mountain again. -__- at that moment i was REALLY glad i had two little bottles of water with me. And guess what happened at the style parts where wasn't a rope...
And all this in white clothes and slippers. (Of course i didn't know this would happen when i was changing.)
So..uuh.. After all I never got to the water.
Lesson: don't go down little paths in canada all tough they may seem VERY attractive. And don't do that on slippers and in white clothes. And check if you're going down a mountain trough the bushbush wildy shit first.
It..uh..was kinda cool though
(it was only like 10/11 o'clock in the morning. And i woke up at about 5 - 5:30 AM. Because of the time deferences.)
